There are about 7000 languages spoken in the world and there are 195 countries in the world most of them have a different native language. I live in India and the official language of India is Hindi and the languages Included in the Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution are 22. Apart of the national language, there are More than 19,500 mother tongues spoken in India. This is only about India, if we consider whole world, there are lots of languange spoken over the world
As you step out of you home and travel few kilometers, you will encounter a person whoes mother tongue is different from yours and I can totally relate with this as I live in India which has the most diverse culture.

Multilingual can be define as Multi meand Many and lingual means language. Multiligual on whole mean somthing that has many languages. If we can someone is multilingual, it refer as that person can speak many languages.
Types of Multilingual
- Monolingual: A person knowing only one language
- Bilingual: A person using or able to use two languages especially with equal fluency
- Trilingual: A person speaking three languages fluently
- Quadrilingual: A person who speaks more than four languages
- Polyglot: Someone with a high degree of proficiency in several languages

Regardless to the domain you are working on, or you are not a professional translator, multilingual you will always in benefit. If will give you the freedom to know other cultures, help you to read and learn books, newspaper, or scripture written in other languages.
I know, 3 languages currently, Hindi, Gujarati, and English. I can read, write, and speak all the there languages. As a hobby, I had started learning french and this language falls under the top most spoken languages and I know, there is nothing wrong with learning a new language. So my aim is to be fluent in English as I am in Hindi and Gujarati and also learn french.
